39th Annual Pool League Tournament
Thursday Night Pool League Rules
- Rosters must be filled out by captains or owners no later than the 3rdweek of the tournament. Rosters can be returned to any officer. No changes after the 3rd week.
- A regular player can only shoot for the team that he or she is signed up for.
- All players and substitutes must be a least 21 years old.
- All regular players MUST DONATE $3.00 PER WEEK – paid to their captains. It is to be collected by Tom Kohut (Treasurer) or an appointed officer.
- Subs will donate $15.00 if they want party tickets. An additional $15.00 must be paid for guests.
- Regular players can elect to SIT OUT the night if Subs are available to take their place. The regular player can’t shoot after the sub replaces them. (Regulars still have to donate the $3.00)
- Subs are to make ALL ATTEMPTS to shoot for the team they are signed up for. If subs are not needed by their own team, then the sub can shoot for any team.
- In any given pool tournament night, subs CAN NOT shoot for more than one team or ALL GAMES SHOT WILL BE FORFEITED! Subs, please be honest. You may not get asked to shoot again.
- No pickups from the bar. If you can’t find other subs to play for your team, then those games will be forfeited.
- A total of 3 games will be played per set.
- The home team pays for first game and the visiting team gets the FIRST BREAK. After the first game the loser pays the cost of the table and the winner breaks. NOTE: IT IS UP TO THE BAR YOU PLAY IN IF YOU PAY OR THEY PAY FOR THE POOL GAMES. NOT THE POOL LEAUGE. (OFFICERS)
- Two minute time limit while shooting. Please be courteous of other players and shoot within the time limit.
- Hit your OWN BALL FIRST. A player may not shoot his opponents ball intentionally.
- If a player double hits the cue ball and pockets the ‘8’ball – the player loses the game. Double hitting the cue ball on any shot - the player loses his turn.
- Call your pocket or object ball. It doesn’t have to be a clean shot.
- Straight in for the ‘8’ ball. ‘8’ ball has to be a clean shot. (No Double Kissing)
- ‘8’ ball on break WINS. Scratch on the ‘8’ ball is a LOSS.
- If you shoot out of turn on the ‘8’ ball, you lose the game.
- The person that makes the winning ‘8’ ball CANNOT BREAK in the next game.
- No person shall shoot 2 consecutive turns.
- NO HECKLING opposing players when shooting. Only captains or other playing partner may talk to the person shooting.
- Only the co captain can talk to the captain while the captain is shooting.
- Anyone shooting out of turn looses shot only – not the game.
- Any ball, including cue ball, accidentally moved will be returned to its original spot.
- On scratch shots, the cue ball must be returned to the BREAK END of the table. The object ball must be totally over the line, unless banking across the line causes the cue ball to come back over the line and then hits the object ball.
- No jump balls.
- Any discrepancy will be settled before the next ball is shot.
- If a regular player quits, a sub can be moved up to replace them. In order to replace a sub that has moved to a permanent position, a meeting will be held and all captains must approve the new sub.
